Right after the Amsterdam-based artists Sjerk Timmer and Femke Schaap in 1995 graduated from the Audio Visual department of the Gerrt Rietveld Academy and they both obtained their masters degree in Fine Arts at the Sandberg Institute in 1997, Femke won the first prize in the precious Prix de Rome of Sculpture with her 3 dimensional film-installations. In the past years Femke was new-media teacher at the GRA Art College in Amsterdam and at the AKI Art College in Enschede. Now Sjerk Timmer and Femke Schaap live and work together on video’s, installations and various other works.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
